Fandom Specific Below
Cookie Run Kingdom: Schwarzwälder / Choco Werehound Brute
Schwarzwälder is a playable character in crk who is not a "cookie" but instead a different sentient species of desert called a cake monster, which means he looks more anthropromorphic and less... flat like a cookie. Thats not what the discourse around him is about though, instead its about his gender identity. On the fandom wiki his general pronouns are stated to be he/it and that is what is mainly used in the game, and what I will be using.
I do need to preface with the fact that I am honestly not fully well versed in the actual story cutscenes in this game, I've played through it pretty far but honestly was not always too interested in actually reading through the plot and dialouge. I still believe I have looked through a substantial amount of specific story points about this character that are brought up as evidence by people to state my opinion on how his character is portrayed in the story. I am still probably fuzzy on details and will try to refamiliarize myself and edit this to be more acurate when I can.
In the game there are multiple instances of him, a big monsterous looking furry man, wearing a dress for whatever story reason or just cus. In his ingame description it talks about him stating his name as "Choco Werehound Brute" and having a sort of old more secret identity and his "real name" being Schwarzwälder. During story dialouge he also mentions wanting people to call him Choco Werehound Brute. People use these points to say that he is fully coded to be and should be only treated as a trans woman, which I find a bit funny.
I do respect people for headcannoning him as a trans woman and think that is perfectly fine, but when you say that this is the only correct way to treat his character I will think you are going a bit far. I especially disagree with saying him having a "prefered name" and an "old/real name" fully means he was meant to be trans, because while you can read him having an old identity and a new one to be about gender, I think it can equally not be about that. The literal explination is that he had a more upper class upbringing and he's trying to keep that hidden which includes him using a different name. Now his crossdressing is also a point of evidence people bring up, which I also think does not inherently need to mean he is a trans woman. [unfinished thought]
